I Got A Byline
I GOT A BYLINE!!!
I haven't uttered those words since undergrad when several of my articles were published in the Atlanta Daily World newspaper.
I recall the excitement of seeing my headline and "by Laura D. Reid" underneath. It's the same feeling I felt in high school when I published my first paying piece. So to now have it come full circle after so many years of casting my pen and pad to the wayside, it feels good to see the words Contributing Writer for Watch The Yard.
